#260621-021920-612000 - The Wrong Man
Three Goof edits declined that I do not believe are contrary to IMDb Guidelines.
- A submitter stated that the character being called "Manny" could have happened off-screen. I simply added that the Detective asked him if he was called "Manny", thus indicating the name use was also brought up on screen. What guideline does this violate?
- Item states it's illogical that a character returns to the scene where he allegedly robbed and categorized it as a "Revealing mistake". Per IMDb guidelines, those are "Mistakes that reveal how the film makers physically composed a scene of the film; mistakes that break the spell of the creative process and remind you that it's a movie or TV show; an unintentional breaking of the "fourth wall." None of that applies to the original submitter's opinion that the character's actions were illogical. My suggested change of Goof category to "Character error" might not be the best fit, but it's certainly better than "Revealing mistake".
- Declining this item, which simply deleted a facetious statement about the casting director, makes me question the reviewer's thought processes.
