Item was declined, but I don't understand why. The original item stated a fact (possibly, I didn't verify it), but it can't be considered a Goof because the character was not aware of the fact; she tore up the check, so there was no way it still could have been cashed.

The first statement in the IMDb Goof Guidelines for "Factual errors" (called "Factual Mistakes" in the database) is "Errors in fact, not in the created universe." The guidance goes on to talk about Character Error vs. Factual error and that IMDb makes "big allowances for artistic license and suspension of disbelief"

Considering that, could you help me understand why my changes were declined?  Thank you.
