A film I directed in 2016 is being plagiarized.
I directed a work for hire short film Triggerman 2016, since then the "writer" and "EP" decided he wanted to be a director and the best way to start his career is to put himself as director of the film and change the name. I just got notice from a 3rd party about this matter. He is talking about directing it in relation to future directing and a 3rd party who is familiar with my film noted that the films are the same minus a few editing changes - mostly putting things I directed back into he edit. This feels very much like it should not be allowed to steal credit in favor of trying to promote your own career. Can anything be done? The lead actor even removed himself from the imdb because he saw it was bs. The new film is "A Bullet for your Thoughts" 2021. You can find both films online and it is obviously bogus.
