Solved

A trivia denial

Could you please tell me why this was denied? It seemed pretty straightforward to me.

No police officer whatever stand in front of a door of a suspect to either knock on it or try to open it, let alone subject a Citizen to do that for the police for the obvious safety and liability reasons concerning that citizen.

TRIVIA ADDITION

When McGarrett and Dan Williams and the landlord of Johnny Klings apartment are going down the hall and they find the door is locked, McGarrett tells the landlord to open the door, which he has to stand in front of the door and use the key to turn the door knob to open the door. This would not be done because in having the landlord do this, McGarrett is placing the landlord in grave danger because police are taught never to stand in front of the door in case the suspect is behind it with a shotgun and shoots through it. This would've made McGarrett liable in case something like that happened to the landlord. In reality, McGarrett would've had the landlord give him the key and McGarrett would've unlocked and opened the door.Reason Badly Formatted.
