Add production coordinators and team to the "Production Manager" department

Hello!

As a production coordinator in the film industry I find it frustrating that my team and I have our credits put under 'Additional Crew', despite being full time and integral to the production.

I propose that we either include all production roles in the Production Manager department, or re-name the department 'Production' as it is referred to in the industry on every Film/TV Drama.

Hoping people from the industry (and fans) agree :)

I would like to bump this post.

I too work as a Production Coordinator and this devalues the work we do to make productions successful - we are a key part of running productions efficiently, safely, and on budget. I strongly believe that the crafts of Production Coordinator, Assistant Production Coordinator, Travel Coordinator, and Production Secretary should all be under the umbrella of Production Management.

Hello

I really appreciate you posting this... (again).  I have also raised this point on several occasions and to no avail.

It is quite ridiculous and insulting that as the hub of the "Production" we are listed under miscellaneous crew.  Why could we not be included in the Production Management section.  I find it particularly odd that the Transport Department were deemed worthy of their own category and yet the studios do not allow them to have credits.  Most are only employed for the shoot whereas we are on board from early prep to the end of wrap.

In addition... it would be interesting to know why the IMDB doesn't follow the Crew List template as surely that is the industry standard.

I implore you to give this your due consideration.

Ever hopeful
