Adding new awards not listed on the Awards Event page

I realize this has been reposted a few times in the recent past, but it's still not been resolved.

My area has a few theater and film awards that instituted in the 2000s, running consistently each season like the standard Broadway and film festival awards. Which I've reached here out several times to the Mods about.  The general response [amongst others who contributed similar queries]  being that perhaps I had listed mine incorrectly instead of as a Jury etc.  When that wasn't the issue.  Clarifying that I was unable to ADD the missing award TO the events page.  That I'd kept getting rerouted to the "send email" or "contact the Community Forum"  despite receiving periodic email updates that this was now available on Imdb Pro

Someone help me out here?   I've been wanting to add my area's Grand, Black Artist, and Sutton Foster Awards for a time.  But NO option to do so.

Thank you

Hi @nettiegurl16 -

If I am understanding the issue correctly, the event is listed on IMDb (see All Events), but you are having trouble adding your awards, as the award is not yet listed for the event, is that correct?

If this is the case, can you clarify further what award you are trying to add and to which event?  Do you have reputable online evidence to help verify the award information?

Correct - the award event I was trying to add to the Events list, did not work. Meaning, the links provided to add a new award event do not work - at all.

And yes, I have the online evidence for verification, just the page links do not work.

In fact, in one attempt I got a 'time out' error, followed by a bad syntac, whatever that was about.

Hi @nettiegurl16 -

In order for our staff to take a look, can you confirm the following:

  • The event name (or link to the IMDb event page)
  • The new award you are trying to add
  • Confirm the award details (Win or Nomination, category, recipients, etc.)
  • Provide links to the verifying evidence (e.g., official event website, reputable media trade articles reporting the Award, etc.)

Once we have further details our staff can investigate.

I'm afraid there's a tad of confusion here, perhaps in how I may have worded my query...

I've wanted to add a new award to the Events page, but the links provided to do so, do not work.  The notation included states to contact the Mods via Sprinklr. But that also no longer works.  Soooo darned frustrating.

Hopefully this is better understanding of the situation.  Thanks.

Hi @nettiegurl16 -

Thanks for clarifying.  If you are trying to add a new event to the "Events Page", you will need to submit your request to our support team directly through our Contact Form:

You will then be instructed to provide the following:

  • Name of event
  • Location
  • Year Event Launched
  • Main Topic of Event (Movie/TV/Video Game/Other):
  • Official Website of Event
  • Event Press Coverage Links
  • Method of Choosing Award Nominees/Winners (please include information about the jury here if applicable
  • Any Supplementary Information

Can you try reaching out via our Contact Form again and providing the event information?  If you experience any issues, can you clarify what problem you are encountering?

Yes, I have followed those steps you shared here, several times. And IMDb or Amazon removed the option to add a new event

In fact, clicking either link to do so accordingly, only opens to an invalid or nonexistent web page now.

Also ... WHY does this require an email for all the bulleted info, when it should be an actual form [as linked] ?  🤔

Please disregard that last....  Thank you for your help Michelle.

Sorry Michelle.... Encountered the same faux pas. Just submitted another request via the Pro Contact Us page, with the award listings I'd like added to the Award Events page. And the respondent merely shared THE SAME Contact Us page INSTEAD OF actual insructions or link for doing this. Soooo frustrating. HOW does one go about requesting/adding an unlisted award to the Events section? (thank you in advance!)

Following up with my initial request... I'm afraid that when submitting a ticket to the IMBD Pro 'contact us', all it does is result in a system AI email response, asking the exact same questions provided in the initial Contact-us inquiry. I've requested several times now, with included URL links, to add film festival/awards events not present - on the Events page. And each time either ignored or never followed through.

Hi nettiegurl16- Please review our following Help Guide on Event information where you can review our Event eligibility criteria and how to submit the Event through the Contact form link. https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/other-submission-guides/events/G9DXDPWT2TWSXP8U?ref_=helpsrall#howto Once you click on the Contact form link it will automatically take you to the default email for requesting a new event and you will just need to follow the instructions. Please note that if the Event(s) you are submitting does not meet our eligibility criteria, it won't be able to be added to the site. Cheers!

Sorry - but the response seems like a copy paste. I already provided the eligibility criteria on the original ticket. So I'm not sure why you are suggesting to me that I review the Event page again, and file a new Contact form.
