Solved

Award data not been added

Hi IMDB Team,

I have submitted award data several rounds for https://www.imdb.com/event/ev0074580/1979/1/

But none of them has been added.

Here are some submission examples with ref numbers:

# 260107-203519-759000

# 260107-203805-211000

Please help check and review my submission, and let me know if anything I need to modify.

Thanks

Hi daffychang-

Thank you for posting the references! Taking a look, these were rejected because no supporting evidence was provided.

As per our Award guidelines, you can re-submit them and add the respective link (evidence) for each award. Once submitted, our editors will take another look.

Cheers!

Hi Maya,

Thank you for your response.

I’ve re-submitted the entries with the corresponding links (evidence) for each award.

Could you please help confirm whether these submissions are approved? Please let me know if anything additional is needed.

Submission IDs:

  • #260119-073027-585000

  • #260119-073532-939000

  • #260119-092842-154000

  • #260119-094822-111000

Thank you very much for your help.

@daffychang- Thank you for posting them with the links!

One thing I forgot to explain, apologies for it, is that when you submit Awards, on the 'Award' section of the contribution form you have two options which are select the Award from the dropdown menu or use the free-text box. In this 'Award' section, you will have to follow the structure of the ones already live (from the drop-down menu).

In the cases for the awards you are submitting for this festival, the information you put on the 'Award' section needed to go on the 'Category' section respectively as these are all categories. Therefore, they were badly formatted.

As an example, this is how they should to be formatted:

Now, I have gone ahead and help you to format all of these correctly. I have also re-submitted them on your behalf and they are now approved.

The changes are already live on the site.

@Maya Thank you so much!!!

I have a quick question regarding submission #260120-181656-496000.

I intended to submit this award under “Best New Performer,” aiming to recognize the actor. However, on the Awards page, it currently appears to mainly display the film rather than the actor.

Could you please advise where I can modify this information so that the actor is properly reflected?

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards,daffychang

@Maya thank you for fixing! Could you please also remove the "(Actor)" in the name of the award? It aims to include both actors and actresses. Thanks!

@daffychang- I can remove it however, please note that it will display how it was before with the film first rather than the actor.

@Maya  Hi Maya,

Thank you again for all your help.

I’m planning to submit a large batch of award entries covering the years 1979 to 2024 (likely starting with 2019–2024 first).

Once I submit them, should I provide the reference numbers here for your team to review, or is it better for me to wait until after the submissions are processed?

Thank you very much for your guidance.

Best regards

@daffychang- Hi,

You're welcome!

You need to wait until they processed. Once they are processed and if any are declined, for example, then you can go ahead and post them here.

@Maya is there a way that I can know if my submissions were processed? Maybe the processing time updates?

@daffychang- Unfortunately, Awards data can't be track as others datas. But yes, you can check there to see the status of this data.

@Maya another question:

Just wondering if the order of the awards can be modified. It looks like they are currently sorted alphabetically by the first letter of the award name.

If possible, I’d like to place Best Film first, followed by a custom order for the remaining awards. Please let me know if this ordering can be adjusted.

@daffychang- Hi! Can you provide us with the list of how they should be order?
