Hi @assmn108 -

Link reports a $60 million budget and you added a $60 budget, reason why it wasn't accepted.

Cheers!

I don't think I understand the difference, could you elaborate further?

@assmn108 You uploaded $60, the actual budget is $60,000,000.

Thanks!

hi @Bethanny,

I'm afraid I have another declined submission referring to the budget of a movie, the submission number is #240725-023412-836000, according to IMDB, does the budget of a movie include it's marketing and promoting costs?

Hi @assmn108 -

I can see that your Budget submission for "Deadpool & Wolverine" was declined because there was already a live pending budget for the title.  The budget is now live on the title page.

Cheers!

hi @Michelle

would you mind addressing my previous question to Bethanny? As in according to IMDB standards, does the budget of a movie include marketing and promotion costs?

Hi @assmn108 -

Typically a "Budget" encompasses all financial resources allocated to that particular production, which generally includes: development costs, pre-production costs, production costs, post-production costs, marketing & distribution, contingency/reserve funds, and can also include miscellaneous costs (legal, insurance, administrative, etc).

I hope this helps!

I understand but in this case in the article I included within the submission, in the fourth paragraph, it states "200 million to produce and roughly another $100 million to promote the movie", shouldn't the budget listed on IMDB should be $300 million instead of $200 million (i included the link to the article below in case you need to refer to it)?

Hi @assmn108 -

If there is a reputable source that breaks down the budget (production costs vs marketing costs) then the total budget information should include that information.  If there is an error on the site, you are welcome to submit a budget correction with the sourced link and a brief description of why you are making the change and our staff will review.
