Can you help my see why my festival award contributions aren't working?

Hello, Can you please look at this image and help me understand why my contribution keeps getting rejected?  Thanks!

Hello arthousefilmsKD1

You have to put the name in the Category, the same as the Award.

Ok. Thanks.  So both fields have the same info. I appreciate the help. I was going crazy trying to leave one blank, etc.

@arthousefilmsKD1 Unfortunately the information you have been given above is incorrect — the Award is very rarely the same as the Category.  The Award represents the type/name of the award, for example, at The Academy Awards each year, the awards given out are known as “Oscars” so that is what you would use if updating The Academy Awards.  The Award is often named after the event or festival where it is presented, for example, earlier this week at The Gotham Awards, the majority of the Award names were “Gotham Independent Film Award” and the rest were “Tribute” awards as you can see on https://www.imdb.com/awards-central/event/ev0000298/2025/1/

If the festival / event which you are updating does not name their awards then please use the best informal term for the award. For example, the most common award name is “Jury Prize” if the award is given by a jury.

In your case, for the category name, it appears that  “Best Ensemble Performance” is correct for the Category to use here.

For more information see the awards submissions guide at https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/other-submission-guides/awards/G5KGRJURZFQGHJQH

Hope this helps.

Hello! Thanks for the help. I listed it as you said, and it seems to have worked, because I got a success receipt. But the award is still not visible on the film's page. Perhaps it's still processing. Fingers crossed!  THANK YOU
