Censoring of reviews

In the last 6 months or so I have noticed more of my reviews being declined. When I edit them, it seems that they are declined simply because I might use words such as 'awful' or 'childish'. Has anyone else noticed this happening?

Hi HankOn- In order for our staff to review, can you post examples of some this declined contributions? You can post the 18-digit submission reference numbers. Cheers!

Also, on the contributions page you asked if anyone knew the movie ratings for several films. I told you 3 of them and you declined the post saying it could not be ratified. And yet afterwards, you had the same rating as I had given listed for each of the movies on your site. So why were mine declined when you actually have the exact same ratings I told you? On another oaccasion I told you about an interesting fact about an actor. She has been seen several times now saying in interviews exactly what I told you, yet you declined it saying it was not verifiable. Do you just pick on certain people and decide to censor everything they do??

Having looked at some of the ones that got declined and rewritten them and they got accepted, it is plain to see that you are censoring comments. There is a need to moderate reviews of course for legal reasons, but you hint even in your content submission guidelines that you prefer positive comments than negative ones. However if we 'must' be negative about a film, there are set ways for us to phrase negativity. Again to some degree there has to be moderation to ensure there's no libelling, but beyond that there should be a freedom of speech to state what we liked and disliked in order to carry out the purpose of a review: to bring to people honest opinions about films we watch, technical pros and cons and actors' performances in them. I'm done with IMDB now. Censorship is alive and kicking and I want no part of it.
