Answered

combined or separate?

I have noticed that when someone has 2 roles combined in the credits e.g. first aid/craft services, they can be listed in a couple of ways.

I have seen the same person in 2 episodes listed as first aid/craft services together in the Health & Safety section and the other episode separately in the Health section and the Craft Services section.

I have seen similar with driver/security credits.

Which does IMDB preferred?

Hi leylandtiger-

Can you provide us with examples of where you are seeing this? You can post the link of the title and gives the name of the person.

Cheers!

Hi Maya

The one I recently noticed was Blue Skies

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt37484311/reference/?ref_=ttrv_ov_srs

There were 2 of the transport crew:-

Isher Pandher

Gurpal Singh

who had separate credits for transport and security in the Additional Crew section of episode #1 but I had combined them for episode #2.

There are 4 people in the Health & Safety section will dual roles of first aid/craft services, I created them when I made suggestions for episode #2 which I had combined the roles.

#260225-222428-011000
#260225-221101-606000
These have screenshots of the end credits showing how they appeared in the show.
I hope this helps to clear things up because I have noticed that many shows list combined roles in credits, so it would be good to know the best way to make future suggestions.
Thanks

@leylandtiger - Thank you for posting the examples!

In these cases, there may be exceptions, but our general preference is that if someone is listed as having performed more than one role/job, those should be listed as separate entries/credits.

If the credits belong to different categories/department, then they should each be added to the correct department. As for an example from the ones provided above, Kate Walsh should have an entry under the Health section and another under the Craft Service section.

Hope this helps clarify!
