the film F.L.Y. (2023) was edited by our client. It was only in film festivals in 2023 and was 'actually' released in 2024. I am requesting that the year after the title of the film be revised to (2024) to reflect the actual release date which is used for award submissions. People are afraid if the tile includes (2023) that their remaining award submissions for the appropriate award period including Dec 2024 will not be accepted because you say the release is (2023).

Hi, Debbie: In accordance with IMDb guides (see https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/release-dates/GVUUDEPJNAW6G35P), "the year shown at the top of the title is a direct reflection of the title's initial release date - this includes any festival release dates." The film was screened on July 18, 2023 at the Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ+ Film Festival (see https://outfest2023.eventive.org/schedule/f-l-y-64a320416b0a8f0032ec6ede), hence the current (2023) after the title is correct. Cheers!
