Solved

Contribution declined

I tried to add an actor to a TV series but my contribution was declined because I could not provide the episodes he appeared into. However, this series is now lost (destroyed by the TV station) and no episodes can be found. Isn't this unfair for the actor, whose appearance is confirmed on internet movie sites?

Hi prablot, Could you please provide us with the 18-digit submission reference for your contribution? We can then look into this for you. You'll find the reference in your Contribution History (https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/history) or contribution e-mail receipt. Cheers!

@prablot- Thank you for posting! Further reviewing, however, this credit will need to be added onto the episode they appeared on. As per our guidelines, credits on TV shows must be submitted as additions to the individual episodes of the show, rather than to the main parent listing for the series. If you are able to find infroamtion and identify the episode(s), you are welcome to resubmit this credit directly to the episode.

Please let me know in what episodes the lower half of the cast appeared. If you can't, then you are too unfair to me. Where can I read those weird guidelines?

@prablot- These were added as a series level prior to when there were episodes listed on the title. You can review the guidelines here: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/how-do-i-add-an-episodic-credit/GRRHUZAQPQV4T2F9?ref_=helpsrall#overview

Well, do IMDb consider it ethical to blacklist some people because of unfair guidelines? I am sure that a solution to this should be found.
