Solved

contribution declined

Hi,

I’m struggling to get a missing credit approved on IMDb and was hoping someone here might have advice.

I worked on a production as dubbing recordist, but the credit was omitted from the IMDb page. Since I’m uncredited on-screen, I submitted proof directly from the production company confirming my contribution.

However, my submissions keep getting rejected for either “badly formatted” or “unable to verify”.

Reference numbers:

#260510-161512-263000

#260510-161634-683000

I’m not sure what IMDb is specifically looking for at this point, since the production has confirmed the credit directly.

Has anyone dealt with this before, or know the best way to escalate it to an actual moderator/reviewer?

Thanks!

Hi abergaudio,

Thank you for your problem report and example submission references.

Based on the information you've provided and in order for your credits to be approved, we would just need to confirm one thing. Did your role as a "dubbing recordist" on this production involve recording dialogue as a performer or as e.g. a sound engineer or technician?

Once we confirm this information, we can inform you on how best to re-submit this data.

Thanks!

Thank you for your quick reply.

"dubbing recordist" as in a sound engineer / technician.

Hi abergaudio,

Perfect, and was the dubbing you worked on in the title's original language?

@Ozzy Yes, it is the voice over that is being used in the main original versions of the series. In the original language.

Hi abergaudio,

Thank you for the additional confirmation.

I've now resubmitted these two credits on your behalf, they will be approved shortly. If you have any additional credits for the same production with this role, I'd recommend submitting those again and adding this thread's URL as evidence along with the evidence you previously provided. This should help our team ensure these credits are appropriately approved.

I hope this helps!
