Contributions declined (plot outline)
On 13 Nov 2025, I submitted a TV episode plot outline deletion for https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0524176/?ref_=ttep_ep_8 with the reason being that the existing plot outline was a duplicate of the outline for the previous episode (no, it was not a two-part episode). (ref #251113-042328-042000)
My submission was declined on the grounds of it being "exactly the same as a submission that you or another user have already entered, which is still pending review by our staff". This seemed fair enough, but two weeks later, the incorrect plot outline was still there. It is still there, even now.
On 22 Nov 2025, I tried submitting a Plot Outline Edit, replacing the existing incorrect Plot Outline with an outline that actually relates to the episode in question. This was declined on the grounds that my contribution "Does not meet contribution guidelines." (ref #251122-075344-383000)I have looked at the contribution guidelines and they all make sense to me - but there are many guidelines and I really have no idea which guideline I have failed to meet. I could try again, but don't want to waste my time if I am simply to be told that my contribution "Does not meet contribution guidelines" without any further detail. I am discouraged by the fact that IMDb seems happy to let misinformation remain on its website, and my attempts to offer corrections are being dismissed.
