Credit Warning even though I have my name listed on IMDb with established credit roles
Hello,
I am the director/producer and one of the editors of my documentary "Prodigal Daughter" and have a regular Imdb account (not the pro version).
Someone else created the page for my film and it has just a few credits. Therefore, I am updating the page to reflect other crew credits and to
acknowledge that work of everyone who worked hard on the film.
The film has more than one editor, and I am one of the editors besides being the director and producer of the documentary.
Ironically, when adding my name as an editor, IMDB doesn't let me do it.
This is what I get after I hit "Rechek these updates" and I can't submit the contributions and updates to many credits. See below:
"This credit has warnings, you must acknowledge each one before this credit will be accepted.
'Valdiviezo, Mabel' does not have any existing credits in this section.
Are you sure this is the right person?
Sorry, no suggestions available."
Then, I am faced with two options which are NOT accurate and it will create more issues if I choose them because they are NOT accurate:
"This is the first credit in this section for 'Valdiviezo, Mabel'. (I, Valdiviezo, Mabel have several editing credits on IMDB.
This is a different person not currently listed - create 'Valdiviezo, Mabel (II)'. "
(I, Valdiviezo, Mabel have my profile on IMDB. It is the same profile for my directing and producer credits, yet, I can't use it for my editor credit.
It even asked me for Proof of the credits. So, I submitted the requested screenshot of the film credits.
This is a frustrating process and I please want the IMDB team to help me solve this issue asap.
Additional question: For me to upload the film's poster, the trailer, and film stills directly on IMDB do I need a Pro Account?
(not as an external link)
Can I just buy a Pro account for only this reason and cancel it after a month? Would my poster and Trailer stay on Imdb?
Thank you very much!

Mabel: I may be guessing wrong here, but were you trying to submit your credit as Editor or in the Editorial Department? Those are two different sections on IMDb, and you have 5 credits listed as an Editor but none in the Editorial Department. You should have received the warning you described if you were submitting the credit to the Editorial Department (but not if you were submitting as an Editor).
And, to be clear, the Editor is the main picture editor for a title. All other editing jobs are to be listed in the Editorial Department.
Please post a screen shot showing your full data submission at the point where you received the error message so we can get a better understanding of what happened.

@Mabel Are you sure you are adding the credit to the "Editors" section and not to the "Editorial Department"? Here's what we see when adding your credit to the "Editors" section on this title:
Hope this helps.

Hi @Mabel,
In regards to your additional question above:
You can add a poster directly to the title, and by selecting the "Poster" type at contribution, this should enable the image submission to be made the title's primary image. If you experience issues with adding the film's poster though, please let us know and we can assist further. Other image contributions can be made by referring to our FAQs.
At this time an IMDbPro subscription would not provide the ability to make a trailer contribution, but if you were to provide us with a YouTube link to the trailer and the title page's IMDb URL, we can have it added for you.
I hope this helps!
