Credits going to the wrong person

Hi, my name is Pulkit Jain and i'm an active VFX artist working for LA based studio currently. Since "Pulkit Jain" usename was already been taken up, I had to switch to a different name, hence I named myself as "PulkitJain07" (as no spaces are allowed by IMDB). Now I have been super active here as I work in the industry but lately my onscreen credits are going to the person named "Pulkit Jain" who doesnt even seem to be active at all. Problem with this is that I have to manually add credits to my name and those credits doesnt really show under my banner the same way they usually shows up when the credits are added automatically/by IMDB/studio. This has been a long pending issue and I finally thought I'd write to you guys as it happened again with my credit for Lilo & Stitch movie as the credit went to the wrong Pulkit Jain.

Pulkit: Under what name do your credits actually appear in movie credits? For both "Happy Gilmore 2" and "Rebel Moon: Part 2 - The Scargiver", I found the section of the credits under "Visual Effects by Day for Nite" where your credits should have appeared, but I didn't see anyone with a name like Pulkit Jain there. If you are uncredited, you need to indicate that on IMDb with the attribute (uncredited). I wrote a longer post about the difference between credited names and usernames, but it didn't get posted here, so someone else will have to go into detail about that.

Hey Gromit, thanks for replying. My name for on screen credits in movies appear as Pulkit Jain under Day for Nite studio since I'm currently working for them. For Happy Gilmore 2 and Rebel Moon I didn't get the oncreen credit but I did work on them and hence I added the credits myself. If they need to be mentioned as "uncredited" as in not credited on screen then I can do that, that isnt a major issue. The major issue is how to distinguish myself from other "Pulkit Jain" who mistakenly get tagged instead of me on IMDB by whoever is assigning the credits on this platform. Just trying to figure out how IMDB works with duplicate names and if there's a way to overcome this constant issue because I'm pretty sure no one can guess the "Pulkit Jain" on an onscreen credit will be "PulkitJain07" on IMDB.

@PulkitJain07- Hi, As anybody can contribute information to IMDb, these credits can get to be added to the wrong page. If you spot them, you can send the respective corrections to move the credits and/or in the case that there are duplicated pages a name merge request can be submitted. As per the name on name pages, our general rule is that the primary name for a person in IMDb is the one by which they are most often credited. You can find further detailed information about moving credits, combining name pages and how names are listed on the following Help Guides: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/names-biographical-data/names/GSA3M6SFHRAERXZ3?ref_=helpsrall# https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/how-can-i-move-credits-to-another-page/GYZQEK7ACM9KCUNA?ref_=helpart_nav_16# https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/names-biographical-data/how-can-i-combine-two-imdb-name-pages/G3TNPWSGKZNRU3MP?ref_=helpsrall# Now, the username you mention above, that is the username that you had to choose to open your account in IMDb which is connected to your IMDb activiy page. This is different from the name display on a name page. Further detailed information regarding the different between an user profile and an IMDb page can be found on our following Help Guide: https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/general-information/what-s-the-difference-between-an-imdb-page-and-user-profile/GHQEDYZ5DJ5Y8G5S?ref_=helpms_helpart_inline#acc Cheers!
