Declined Budget Update

Hello,

I originally thought that when adding a film to IMDB the budget was mandatory, so I included it when submitting my film.

Upon review I found out that it is not mandatory, and have requested that the budget be removed from the film's IMDB page.

Unfortunately this request has been decline three times now. Why is this the case?

It's just a small short film that I would rather not have the budget displayed for as the producer and director of the film.

To clarify why your delete requests were declined, we will not remove budget information as per our commitment to accurate and reliable information. However if there is an error with the budget listed, you can submit corrections.

Thanks for replying.

That’s interesting, because I submitted no proof of this budget originally. Just a number. So someone blindly accepted the figure I entered, and now refuses to omit it from the page?

Is there any process available for me to request that the budget is omitted from the page? There are many films without budgets listed, so I’m not sure why this is a problem.
