It looks like this movie is being vote-bombed. It's rating was 2.0 when i saw the movie, 1.9 after I got home, and is now at 1.8. Is there a way for anyone to verify this?
Not only is it not in the Bottom 100, according to the Advanced Title Search it is not even in the bottom 1000.
Is this because the film's rating just isn't that low when calculated for the Top/Bottom lists, or has the film been manually removed from consideration?
Hi john_fitzgerald_a4clox8l3ywko
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Our staff in charge of the voting system will look at this at the earliest opportunity.
Though no immediate action may be taken, all reports are carefully examined so please rest assured that this will help us fine-tune and improve the effectiveness of our voting system.
Cheers!
I am against Disney in general. But the ratings for Snow White with this huge amount of votes for a movie that has only been released a week ago is a sign that IMDb has no control over the legitimacy of the user ratings. It's just a hate repository. And we know that the hate for this movie does not come from the quality itself, but from the fact that the heroine is more active in the unfolding of the story and being played by an actress who is not 'snow as white'. You should have a little more control over the ratings legitimacy. 229000 votes in just one week? With a Manos the Hands of Fate-like rating of 1.5? You know that this is simply impossible if not for a organized hate campaign against the movie (which by the way I don't have the slightest intention to see, in case someone think I'm biased). And what about other movies? How can users think that IMDb ratings are a reliable reference for any other movie? Take better care of your site, guys. Thanks.

Title : Snow White ratings.
Hello angelopilla47
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Our voting system already detects and defeats attempts to stuff the ballot and skew the rating, as demonstrated by the difference between the weighted average and the arithmetic mean on the vast majority of titles in the database. For additional information about IMDb ratings and weighted averages, please refer to our FAQ.
Cheers!
Rotten Tomatoes currently shows that while only 41% of the critics like SNOW WHITE, 74% of the audience enjoys it.
That seems unlikely as well, considering that the movie is bombing at the box office.
Jay: 74% on the Rotten Tomatoes Popcornmeter doesn't sound that implausible, because it's not that high a rating. Most of the people who had no interest in the movie at all didn't go to see it; the Popcornmeter of 74% is based on verified ratings, that is, people who were verified as actually buying tickets.
According to RT, if you include the non-verified ratings, "Snow White" has only a 19% fresh rating instead of 74%.
That's a big difference. For comparison, "Mufasa: The Lion King" was rated 89% fresh from verified ratings and 82% from all ratings, and "Moana 2" was 86% fresh from verified ratings and 79% from all ratings.
I'm so glad you told me that! That's been such a mystery to me for the past week. How could the IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes be so radically different? I didn't realize the fresh rating for audiences was based solely on verified ticket buyers.
