Episode seasons mislisted — 39 seasons under Season 1 for The Bold and the Beautiful

On the episode guide for The Bold and the Beautiful (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092325/episodes?ref_=ext_shr), episodes from 39 separate seasons are all grouped under "Season 1." This forces scrolling through 9,000+ episodes and the page repeatedly kicks me out. This looks like a data/season mapping error and makes the episode guide unusable.

Please:

  • Move episodes into their correct season groupings.
  • Restore normal pagination/season navigation so users can select seasons rather than scrolling one long list.

Can't you just click "Years"?

I believe it's a conscious decision as mentioned in IMDb's guidelines. It may be outdated since CBS does mention a season number, which may not have been the case in the past.

No, unfortunately clicking years is not an option. And I’ve been watching the show since Season 1 - 39 seasons ago - and there have always been Season numbers. There are season numbers on every platform.

I’m kind of confused about why you are commenting and speculating.

@Peter_pbn Here is a photo. There is only one year listed 1987 - Season 1.  It’s incredibly frustrating to have to scroll through hundreds of episodes, so I hope they can fix it.

My comment leads you to give more information.

I see the year option on the page, so it's odd if you don't.

@Peter_pbn Please post a photo showing the years. Thanks!

@Peter_pbn You're right about soap operas usually not having seasons according to IMDb: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/episode-guidelines/GDF7HR6CCCBKU3CP?ref_=helpms_helpart_inline#epnumbers

I checked and at least in 2025, The Bold and the Beautiful aired all year without interruption, so it seems we're still in season 1. I fail to see why it matters how CBS feels about this matter.

I couldn't see the image above until now. That seems to be the IMDb app, and I agree it's a problem that there is no year option there, or even an option to view the latest episodes.

@Minutelli Have you clicked on "Episode Guide" at the top of the page for The Bold and the Beautiful? That should lead to a page where you can search episodes by year, season and top rated episodes.

@Marco

Regarding the policy, the guidelines don't say that all soap operas can't have seasons, and they don't say anything about how a season is defined.

There was another recent thread about a series where IMDb preferred to list it as one season, though one of the points made was that the official season numbers in that case just followed the calendar year. That is not the case with The Bold and the Beautiful, where season 39 started on September 15, according to CBS.

@Peter_pbn I agree IMDb should define the term season. And upthread I said that soap operas "usually" don't have seasons so we're in agreement that some soap operas do have seasons (Dutch soap operas for example have seasons because they don't air for about 3 months in the summer).

But given the term "continious series" it's clear to me that The Bold and the Beautiful is, for IMDb purposes, currently in its first season. The fact that for CBS purposes the series is in its 39nd season shouldn't factor into it.

It's not possible to search IMDb using the only year listed (1987) for the current 39th season (2026), and the currently episode (#9,793).  It's not just CBS that says B&B has seasons - ask the internet - "what season is B&B on right now," and it will tell you - 39th Season.

So bizarre on IMDb's part to make it impossible to use IMDb's app for B&B, but that's basically what it's done.  To reach the current episode, one would need to scroll through almost 10,000 episodes - which would be time-prohibitive, but it is not even possible to do on the app.  It barely allows me to scroll through over 100 before it kicks me out and I have to start over.

@Marco unfortunately, the episode guide for this show does not provide that option :(

I think that it should at least be filed as an app problem that there is no year filter in the episode guide, which is particularly a problem when it's a long series listed as one season.

Agree!  It's not possible to search IMDb using the year (1987) for the current 39th season (2026), and the currently episode (#9,793).  To reach the current episode, one would need to scroll through almost 10,000 episodes, which is not possible on the app.  It barely allows me to scroll through over 100 before it kicks me out and I have to start over.

How can I get this to be fixed?  I would do it myself if they'd let me!

@Peter_pbn P.S. How would I report it as an app problem?  I thought that's what I was doing.

@Minutelli

My comment was intended for the IMDb staff, who have not responded. I see that the thread was moved to an app category, though.

As an alternative you can use the IMDb website in a browser.

Subject: Episode seasons mislisted — 39 seasons grouped under Season 1 for The Bold and the Beautiful

The episode guide for The Bold and the Beautiful appears to have a season-mapping/data issue. Episodes from approximately 39 separate seasons are currently being grouped under Season 1, resulting in a single list of more than 9,000 episodes.

This makes the episode guide extremely difficult to use, as users have to scroll through an unusually long list and may also be repeatedly redirected or kicked out of the page.

Please investigate the episode-to-season mapping and:

  • Move each episode into its correct season grouping.

  • Restore the normal season navigation so users can select individual seasons.

  • Restore normal pagination or episode loading behavior rather than displaying all episodes as one continuous Season 1 list.

The affected title is The Bold and the Beautiful (IMDb title ID: tt0092325).

Thank you for looking into this issue.

Hi @Jakepuals -

Thanks for reporting this, we're aware that the episode guide for The Bold and the Beautiful (and other soap opera titles) currently has season-mapping issues, with episodes from multiple seasons grouped under Season 1.

Unfortunately, we don't currently have an internal mechanism to handle bulk season/episode reordering at this scale (9,000+ episodes).  For now, the most effective path to getting this corrected is through contributed corrections - individual submissions to reassign episodes to their correct seasons, which our staff will review and process.

I understand that's a significant undertaking for a single contributor.  If you're interested in helping to tackle this, one option would be to coordinate with other community members as a group effort - splitting the workload across volunteers could make it much more manageable. You're welcome to post in the forum to see if others would be willing to pitch in.
