Fabricated episodes of "Salad Fingers" web series
Hello, Your entry for the "Salad Fingers" web series has a history of fabricated episodes being submitted. A few days ago, I submitted a deletion request for a completely fabricated episode that was obviously added to slander and malign the creator. The episode was rightfully deleted. Yesterday, I submitted deletion requests for three more episodes that are completely and obviously fabricated or have been erroneously submitted: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4586906/?ref_=ttep_ep - This episode does not and has never existed. The first episode was released on Newgrounds on July 1, 2004. (Source: https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/178546) This is a well-known fact and is supported by the Wikipedia article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salad_Fingers). No episode was published before this date, which this entry falsely and inexplicably suggests. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt16970050/?ref_=ttep_ep - This episode, both the title and the plot, are fabricated. There is no record of this episode having ever existed, neither on the official Newgrounds page (https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/178546) or on the official YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@davidfirth/videos). Each episode in this series gets hundreds of thousands to millions of views, yet a simple Google search turns up nothing. It is fabricated. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt36396846/?ref_=ttep_ep - The above applies. Completely fabricated. All three of these deletion requests were rejected, the stated reason being: "it is our policy not to alter or delete any kind of correct/factual information from our records." These entries are just the opposite: incorrect and fabricated. This is part of a larger problem with IMDb's handling of corrections/deletion requests. In the years contributing to IMDb, I've noticed that your data editors put the burden of proof solely on those trying to correct/delete incorrect information, but rarely do any fact-checking when approving submissions. Proving that something does not exists is far more difficult than proving that something does exists. Your data editors are protecting contributors who act in bad faith and get a kick out of spreading disinformation on IMDb. I again ask you to kindly remove these three fabricated episodes (and perhaps rethink your approach when dealing with submissions). Thank you
