I read that IMDb uses a special algorithm for ratings. Look at the attached title, it has hardly made money at the box office and is out of the theatres in 3 days. It sold 7k tickets on 3rd day and this is rated so high with equal number of votes? mostly fake/bot ratings as it has been bashed left and right by the critics.
