Fight Club is an out and out thriller

First of all, my gratitude to you guys for rectification of genres which are missing or irrelevant. The most discussed genre of the millennium is Fight Club 1999. I do not understand the logic, why the genre is Drama? The film yet has dramatic moments and as per R rating by MPAA which clearly states (disturbing and graphic depiction of violent anti-social behavior, sexuality and language) whereas Tyler and his gang involves in some serious "crime business" and creating chaos for a "better future". This does not fall well in Drama genre. Agreed its Drama, but kinda like has Crime and Thriller genre involvement. So this was too discussed many times and was rejected. As per IMDb Crime genre is defined "features criminal activities, investigations, law enforcement, crimes, and the pursuit of justice. Crime stories often revolve around the planning, execution, and consequences of criminal acts, as well as the efforts to solve and prevent such acts. They explore various aspects of criminal behavior, motives, and the moral dilemmas faced by both perpetrators and those seeking to uphold the law." And Thriller defined as "features suspense, tension, and excitement. These stories are known for keeping audiences on the edge of their seats and delivering intense emotional experiences by revolving around high-stakes situations, dangerous conflicts, and the constant anticipation of unexpected events." The film has a major twist of Tyler vs Narrator as one person mechanism, so Drama till date, this genre never made sense to me!

Hi mohammad_irfan_ansari, Thank you for reporting this. After review, we have determined that the Crime and Thriller genres are applicable for this title. They have now been added, and will appear live on the title page shortly. Cheers!
