Film release is incorrect and impacting distribution options
Our film screened at a few film festivals, but since has gone through many changes and is no longer the same film. Because of this, the year is listed as 2023 for release (despite never having been released). Distributors won't touch a film older than a year (for a new release) and we want them to seriously consider our film. How to amend to 2024? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15908942/

Charles: For clarity, screening at a film festival does count as a release for IMDb purposes and does affect the year in parentheses after the title. See https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/release-dates/GVUUDEPJNAW6G35P# where this is indicated: "The year shown at the top of the title is a direct reflection of the title's initial release date - this includes any festival release dates."
