Fred Savage's awards page
Some jokester has added a number of nominations to Fred Savage's awards page that he never received: Television Critics Awards for "Working" and "Crumbs" (the former for the 2000 ceremony, a year after the show was canceled), American Comedy Award for "Working", Teen Choice Awards for "Friends from College"(??). I've submitted the following deletions with links to the actual nominees as proof: 260408-173240-685000
260408-195023-846000
260408-195703-526000
260408-200901-058000
And these are just the ones I was able to verify quickly as being invalid. Once these are processed, can a staffer please look at what else the contributor responsible (I assume it's all the same person) has submitted? Whether it's for Savage or anyone else, I doubt there's anything valid there.

Hi Zutroy-
Thank you for posting the references and reporting! As these are still pending processing, they will be reviewed accordingly.
Cheers!

Bump.
I replied to Maya a week ago but the post was marked private. (Not sure if I did something wrong, I didn't mean it to be and I don't see a reason for it to be.) While my deletions were accepted there's a larger issue that persists. Details in the other post.

Bump again. This continues to be a problem and another show I found that's definitely affected is "Saved By The Bell", which now lists a whole lot of highly improbable (ACE Award, British Comedy Award) and impossible (Cable ACE Award) nominations. There's no way this isn't the work of a single person.

I'm reposting the earlier privated post here. Apparently external links were why it got privated, so I removed them, but mods can see the post with links:
I see these have been deleted but unfortunately the problem runs much deeper.
This is an archived version of Savage's award page from January 2023:
The current version of the page includes a large number of additional nominations that have been added in the meantime: American Comedy Awards, Teen Choice Awards, Prism Awards, Satellite Awards for "The Wonder Years", "Working" and "Crumbs", and much more. Even without looking for proof some of these seem highly improbable: "Crumbs", cancelled after five episodes, was up for a Teen Choice Award? TV Guide Awards in 1993 had categories named "Best Bromance" (a term that came into use in the mid-2000s) and "Best Frenemies"? And then there is a Cable ACE Award nomination for The Wonder Years. You don't even have to do further research to call that one bogus. It wasn't a cable show!
It's not just personal nominations for Savage that are suspicious. The Wonder Years' awards page includes several more Cable ACE nominations the show definitely did not get as it wasn't eligible. And here's an archived version of the awards page for "Working":
It's since ballooned from 1 win & 1 nomination to 4 wins & 16 nominations.

I'm not saying all of these additions are necessarily bogus, but clearly there was a single contributor at work here writing his own personal fan fiction or something. Instead of researching and submitting deletions for every single nomination, I would like to request the staff to look into this. After all I have no idea whether this problem just concerns Fred Savage and Fred Savage-adjacent shows or if there's more unrelated vandalism.
