Genre List Manager: An Absolute Amazing Denial
Dial M for Murder won the Edgar Award as Best Play in 1953, an award named after Edgar Allan Poe and presented by the Mystery Writers of America, yet IMDb denies Mystery as a genre for the 1954 film? This decision makes absolutely no sense. Is the problem the decision maker, or the IMDb genre definition?

Furthermore, evidence for how the play was categorized, would not be applicable for which genres should be applied to the title on IMDb. Genres are applied to titles on IMDb based on our guidelines. If you can provide evidence as to why this genre should be added to this title in accordance with our guidelines for the Mystery genre, please do so in a re-submission.
