Hard to update

I used to update items periodically, but now is too difficult. After filling out the information on an edit page, I see no way to submit the information. What I was trying to do was to submit this information for Frontier Doctor: Everything--episodes, actors, etc.--indicates the series ran from 1958 into 1959. But IMDb states the series started in 1956. All the cast is shown as 1958 and 1959, except for star Rex Allen, for whom it lists 1956. There was nothing in 1956. I think I will give up trying to help with corrections to IMDb.

One of the episodes has a UK release in 1956:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0583761/releaseinfo/

When I google it there are sources which support that date.

Hi Peter, Thanks for your response.

But I find it hard to believe that an American western series played in the UK two years before it was released in the US.

I checked a few episodes and they have 1956 copyright years on screen in the end credits. A few other Google results also suggest the series was produced in 1956-57.

SOMEthing was done in 1956, but.... There are NO actors listed for anything in 1957; there are 6 actors shown for 1956, for one episode (all six in that same episode), "Fury of the Big Top," which is not a title shown for any of the episodes in season 1 or 2 (1956-57). My theory is that the Frontier Doctor was either introduced in 1956 in an episode of the TV series "Fury" (The Wonder Horse), or was a pilot that didn't get produced for another two years; or, that it was a single show/episode that aired in the UK only in 1956, and later became an American series. I think we need an aging British TV buff to weigh in on this one.

Peter, where did you find these 1956 episodes, and were they from a series in the US or UK? Except for this one "Fury of the Big Top" listing (but not shown as one of the Frontier Doctor episodes), IMDb shows the series beginning in 1958.

Fury of the Big Top is listed as episode 9 in IMDb's episode list of Frontier Doctor.

The episodes with 1956 copyright years that I referred to are just episodes of The Frontier Doctor on YouTube, including Fury of the Big Top.

Episode 9 is shown as 1958.

It should all begin with Season 1, Episode 1, but the copyright date at the end of that episode on YouTube is impossible to read on my 27-inch Mac.

@Screenidol

I previously linked to the release info page which has the 1956 release date. You are just seeing the US dates displayed in the episode list.
