How can I unmerge my names?

Hi! For whatever reason, my name Eddy Kang did not merge correctly with my last name Eddie Wardel. It said I was credited before on my latest and most notable credit, Prisoner’s Daughter, when the pages were separated.

I would now like to unmerge the names so that the only credit under Eddy Kang says Prisoner’s Daughter, without the “uncredited” next to it.
Can you please help?
Thanks a milli!

Hi @Eddykang123,

Thank you for your problem report.

I have looked into this for you and have verified that your name was credited for this title, there is no need to unmerge the IMDb pages. As such, I have now corrected the relevant credit on your IMDb page, and this update will appear live across all IMDb platforms shortly.

I hope this helps!

Hey Ozzy! Thanks so much! But this has been a long and arduous process and after advice from management, I would like to totally separate the names so that there is no confusion going forward . Could you please assist with this, so that the only credit under my name is the Prisoner’s Daughter credit? Thanks a milli,

Hi @Eddykang123,

This is not possible. You cannot have two IMDb pages, hence the completed name merge and attributes denoting you were credited with a different/previous name. This is part of IMDb's policy to be the most complete and reliable source of movie, TV, and entertainment information on the web. In order to continue offering our users an accurate and trustworthy service, we will not alter or delete any kind of correct/factual information from our records.

Thanks!

Hi. Thanks for the response.

I am not asking you to delete the other names credits from IMDB, but simple remove them off my Eddy Kang page.
Clearly the Old name will never be used again, so feel free to keep them in your files and on a different page in whatever way you so choose.

Is that not possible?

Because it is basically like saying if I had never merged the names, I would be allowed to have two pages.

So it is almost as if I am being punished for honesty and authenticity for doing the merge, and letting you know who your paying client is.

I would appreciate it you simply removed these credits from my filmography and keep them in whatever records you need to keep.

Thanks a milli,

Hello Eddykang123,

As mentioned by Ozzy, we are unable to undo the name merge. The data listed is all factual. You can not have two name pages, everything has to be listed under a single name page. We will not alter or delete any kind of correct/factual information from our records.
