How do I add episodes for a series that is listed as unknown number of episodes?

I recently finished watching the Ukranian TV series Nikonov & Co. on YouTube.  It was 16 episodes long and only had one season.  The IMDB page for the series says it had an unknown number of episodes.  I have tried to put the number of episodes in so I can add at least the number of episodes for the primary players in the series, but have had no luck.  How do I add the episodes to the series?

e8n2: For a TV series, IMDb isn't looking for the number of episodes per se. Rather, they want people to add each episode to the database. To do this, you would go to the bottom of the series page, such as https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8202798/ for "Nikonov i Ko" (2015), and click "Add episode".

For each episode, you would need to provide at least one of the following three pieces of information:

  • Episode title
  • Episode original airdate and the country where that airing took place
  • Episode number (for example, the first season's second episode would be numbered 1.2 -- in this case, the first season is the only season)

You only need one of these items, but if you have two or three of them, please provide them.

You will also need to indicate your relationship to the series (if you are a viewer rather than a person involved in the production, select "... none of the above").

That is all the information needed for an episode to be submitted. However, as you go through the submission process, you will have the opportunity to submit Cast, Writers, Producers, Directors, a Plot Outline, and/or a Plot Summary. You don't need to submit any of these items, although you will want to submit at least some of the Cast of each episode since you are trying to get the actors their correct number of episodes. (You can also check the box to "add more data for categories that aren't listed above" for other types of data if you want to.)

Once you have submitted your data for one episode, you can immediately proceed to submit the data for another episode; you don't have to wait for the previous episode's data to be processed.

And once all 16 episodes have been entered with their respective Cast members and the data has completed processing, each of the actors who has been listed will have their correct number of episodes listed on their entry.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

@gromit82 I see that the system that would let you know if there was a reply is NOT working.  I just happened to check today and saw that there was a reply.  As to your reply, if I have to add each episode individually, then the system is really broken.  I am just a plain old viewer.  Some of the cast is listed but none of the episodes.  To go one episode at a time is ridiculous especially if it ends up being a multi season show.  It seems to me that the powers that be don't really want the information since they like to make it as hard as possible to put it in.  It also really galled me that when I put a connection in for this show to Ironside, the 60s detective show starring Raymond Burr, they turned it down without specifying EXACTLY why it was turned down.  Just didn't meet community standards what ever the hell that is supposed to me.  I described the premise of Nikonov i Ko to friends and they immediately noticed it was just like Ironside.  Again, I guess they just don't want the information for some reason and would rather that other people remained ignorant of the facts.

@gromit82 I have just tried several times to add episode 1.1 and it keeps rejecting it saying the series is not in the database, so I choose the series from a list of possible matches, then it doesn't have the title.  I re-enter the title of the series again, and it keeps rejecting it.  It is like it is stuck in a loop.  I then tried to add episode 1.2 and it put that on hold waiting I guess for episode 1.1 to be added.  What a crock!

I just tried going to https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8202798/reference/ and the "Add episode" button took me to the new episode form. Entering the number 1.1 and selecting "I am..." "... none of the above" then clicking "Check these updates" took me to the form with a submit button.

If you give more detail about where you started, what you did and what happened the experienced contributors here can probably explain what to do. Give as much detail as you can, with screenshots if you can.

Unfortunately I can't do that.  Somebody else has now put in all 16 episodes so now I will try to flesh it out with at least the three main stars of the show.  Thanks to whoever did it.

Later,
