How do I properly format a "Incorrectly Regarded as Goof" submission?

I was looking for guidance in the Goofs page of the Help centre, but I didn't see anything about the specifics of how to format an "Incorrectly Regarded as Goof" submission. In particular, do I keep the full text of the original Goof submission before explaining why it's not a goof? Thanks!

Hi theolaa,

🇦 If you want to correct the text of existing goof, and the result would be classified as Trivia rather than Goof, then first consider to submit your variant to the Trivia section and not to touch the existing Goof.

🇧 If you are sure that the existing text, no matter how it would be edited, is incorrectly regarded as goof and also you want to edit the text, then first make "Incorrectly Regarded as Goof" submission and wait for its approval, and finally submit your corrections to the text.

🇨 How to submit "Incorrectly Regarded as Goof":

1️⃣ Use the drop-down to change the type to "Incorrectly Regarded as Goof"

2️⃣ Following the Style Guide, use "Other" field in Explanation for your comments on this correction:

It's not directly in the guidelines, but it's clumsy writing to keep the original text. No entry is supposed to look like it's arguing with itself.

The category is also for clarifying common misconceptions, not for directly arguing against an entry. If the goof you spot is simply incorrect, it's better to submit a deletion request for that.
