How do I report a user for completely ignoring all submission rules?

The tosspot has posted over 38,000 outlines and summaries for shows and films they haven't watched. They don't even get the most basic details right, but invariably watch the end, so they can post spoilers and ruin things for everyone else.

I've deleted a few hundred of these submissions, but, unless you're gonna pay me too, I'm not going through 38,000 contributions that someone who is being paid, approved.

The has to be a more sensible way of removing a particular user's submissions, than going to THIRTY-EIGHT THOUSAND submissions individually, and writing a summary I didn't want to write, to show why they need deleting.

You're supposed to be a trustworthy site, could you at least pretend to care whether you are giving accurate information?

@ACT_1

Can't actually find their profile, but this is the user -

https://m.imdb.com/search/title/?plot_author=KGF%20Vissers&view=simple&sort=alpha&ref_=tt_stry_pl

Somebody really needs to do something about them. It's like their only reason for contributing is to troll, and they're being rewarded for it. They've contributed so much no-one is giving even a cursory glance to what they post, while it takes a full on essay, comparing and contrasting the actual plot to what the contributor wrote, to remove their submissions, otherwise the deletion is rejected as being "unverifiable".

They've even got to the point of making up words, and writing obvious nonsense because they know no-one is checking what they submit.

I don't know that it is intentional by the user, but I have over time noticed many errors in his summaries. Perhaps at least any new submissions could be checked better.

Hi @StayWilde,

Thank you for reporting this.

Our team have taken a look into this individual's contributions, and whilst we cannot confirm whether this behavior is intentional, steps have been taken in an effort to prevent any further similarly ineligible plot outlines and summaries from being approved. In regards to any plot data that is already live submitted by this contributor, we encourage our contributors to report any errors to our processing staff for review and removal.

Thank you for your understanding!

@Ozzy thank you for this.

At least if someone is checking the submissions it'll feel a little less like a losing battle to delete the twaddle.

Does this mean that a synopsis will no longer be required to prove their submissions have little to no relation to the actual plot? It's a lot of work to remove something that took almost no thought or effort in the first place.

Hi @StayWilde,

No problem. In answer to your question, it would depend on the circumstances of the deletion or correction request. There is no exact answer for each use case, but we would advise always providing an explanation as to why particular data needs correcting, or removing from the site.

I hope this helps!

In this specific case, where it has been checked and shown that the contributor's submissions are complete manure, will you stop requiring a synopsis of the film or episode to remove their submission? 38,000 incorrect submissions!!! That's years of work, for someone you aren't paying, so is there any chance the people you are paying could stop making it 10× harder? It would make everyone's life easier, and your site more reliable, if you just admit that the contributor should never have been allowed to submit the twaddle in the first place, and removed it yourselves. Since you won't do that, will you stop obstructing me from removing the totally made up submissions?

@StayWilde- Thank you for the feedback! I understand the frustration especially given that you have taken the time and effort to contribute updates to IMDb, which we truly appreciate. When an explanation for the removal is included within the corrections/deletions it will be reviewed by IMDb staff. If you are submitting updates that are being declined despite providing a reasonable explanation for the change/deletion, you are welcome to include examples of these submission reference numbers on this thread for our staff to investigate.
