How To Correct An Incorrect Person In Awards

Hi I'm working on UNmerging two people with the same name - but they have different credits

I've been successful splitting them into the two different people they are - now here is the roadblock - one person is listed as the award winner, when it is actually the other person

Would I have to delete that win, then resubmit a new win with the correct person, and add a note as to why I'm deleting?

Please advise - thanks

That is correct! As you can see in our Awards help article, to correct existing data:

Recipient / Title / Company award update: Currently, the only way to edit existing recipient, title and/or company data (for example to add additional relations) is to submit a deletion request for the entire award, and resubmit it with the correct information. If doing this, please ensure to use the 'Explanation' field to provide as much information into your reasoning as possible.
