How to delete a single credit?

30 years ago, I was on a music video crew of an artist who was later convicted of major felonies and is currently in federal prison. In retirement, I volunteer in a "Music in the Schools" program and do not want to be associated with a known felon. My request to delete this credit was denied. I resubmitted my request with a screenshot upload of this artist's official conviction. Is there something else I need to do? It feels like this denial was done mechanically without human involvement.

They're not going to delete the R. Kelly credit simply because you don't want it on your name page. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm12359410/ The standard response is usually: "Our aim is to be the most complete and reliable source of movie, TV, and entertainment information on the web. In order to continue offering our users an accurate and trustworthy service, it is our policy not to alter or delete any kind of correct/factual information from our records."

Hi stephenr, As ind3 states above, we cannot remove this credit if it is factually accurate information. This is per our policies on retaining such information in our records. Thank you for your understanding.

I think it would be very worthwhile for IMDb to review its policy towards a situation like this. A blanket policy may need to be adjusted from time to time, not unlike amendments to the Constitution.
