Acknowledged

I can’t change the film’s release date

Release date was entered in error. The film was still in post-production in 2023 and was never publicly released, screened, distributed, published online, or shown at a film festival. The 2023 date was mistakenly entered when the title was added to IMDb and does not represent an actual release. The film is being completed in 2026, and I am planning to submit it to film festivals for the first time in 2026.  I can't update the production status to the status that accurately reflects a completed film awaiting its first public or festival screening.

I tried to change the release date to 2026 because I have only now submitted the film to festivals for the first time, but IMDb keeps rejecting the change. What should I do?

There's a youtube link to the full short movie in the external links section of the title which is uploaded on March 28, 2023 which is exactly the date that was deleted from here right now: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt27347963/releaseinfo/

Even though youtube video is set to "unlisted" status right now, existence of the user comments on the video and the view count (332 as of now) shows it was fully public before.

Just saying.

This thread was first marked "acknowledged" (I don't see any acknowledgement to what I wrote here) and then marked as solved. All by ignoring what I wrote and I don't see the factual data that was removed restored as well.

I see @ljdoncel liked my reply here. If ljdoncel wrote this same thing here, would you do the same thing (ignore it and close the thread) or would you thank them a million times and revert the action? You would do the latter right? I don't understand why it's always about who says something here rather what is being said.

I can see the Release date has already been modified and it is live, what data is missing to be processed/restored?
