IMDB Declines my date change for my movie release

I had a project that went into production hell and got shelved for lack of funding a few years back. It never got released on the date posted. Now it has been funded and will be released with year, but I don't have an exact date yet. IMDB keeps declining my requests to put it on "Not yet released" I don't want the film festivals to think that this has been released as that is some of the criteria for acceptance. I am the creator and owner of the production company, provided proof on social media that the new release is coming and that it never happened. What more can I do to remedy this? Thanks, Shaun
