Solved

Imdb immediately rejecting credit

Some actress, listed herself on a project I worked on with my character name. So, I went through the process of proving that she indeed was not my character with the call sheet and screenshots of the project showing both of our characters names.. Well, imdb corrected her character but keeps denying me immediately after I submit an edit on this show and add my name. I've even tried uploading the call sheet directly to imdb and doing EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAY TO DO by putting the link in the comment box. Their system immediately rejects me. This is a joke!

I've worked on major projects and had no issue adding myself ever. I've been a pro member for many years. This is extremely frustrating they would fix her character but simply continue to deny that I was in the project even with proof. I'm paying for the pro membership and I can't even get a dinky credit added. In my decades of being on imdb never had an issue. Is this their AI bot that can't do things right or what is going on with the humans over there? I'm so frustrated! The producer even submitted me and I guess got denied too b/c I wasn't added. What to do?

Hi @Summertime,

Thank you for your problem report.

To look into this for you, please could you provide us the 18-digit submission reference for your latest attempt to add this credit? You'll find this in your Contribution History

Thanks!

My most recent confirmation number is #251124-074505-45700. The one I submitted before that where they manually reviewed the other actress and changes her credit but would not add me with the evidence was  #251115-220223-622000 and here's the follow up to that #251120-021946-154000.  I literally have my name and character name, no episode or attribute (like others do) and I'm rejected.

And I'm writing from a second account, as was having issues greeting into the one I submitted the inquiry under and didn't want to lose my message by resetting pswd. So ignore that.

@filmfanhead4- Thank you for posting the submission references! Further reviewing, the credit addition was being rejected as credits for episodic TV shows have to be submitted to the respective episode(s) and not the main parent page.

We have submitted this addition/correction on your behalf and the credit has been approved. The changes are still in-progress but will be live on the site shortly.

For further detailed information, you can review our following Help Guide under question #4, How do I add an episodic credit?.

Thank you so very much!!! I don't understand bc this is the same way I've added credits previously for series when there aren't eposides to list. There are other actors that don't have the episodes listed either and they were approved,so please clarify so I can learn for the future.

Also, when this was manually reviewed with the other actress mess up and that was fixed, why didn't they just add mine rather than rejecting and making me continue to try to figure out the issue, just like you helping to fix this easily? Just seems imdb makes things challenging for the community as it's not the most user friendly system to begin with, and when agents won't help us when they can, seems like this could be more geared to help the customer by going the extra step for us. I obviously wasn't doing something right and needed help rather than just declining me and having me try to figure it out in my own. Also, the producer had the same issue for their add of me to be declined as well. So, it's not just me.

You listed me as 1 eposide but I was in more than that and I was trying to do as others did as well that were approved to have no episode count. So, why are some of those approved with no eposides on the main page but others have to have an episode? This is where the issue was. I could have added an episode the whole time, but I'm in more than one. I'm in the series. Please clarify.

@filmfanhead4- As per our guidelines, any credits for TV series must be submitted to the episode and/or episodes you worked on. You can review our guidelines linked above for further information on episodic credits.

The credit was added to this episode as there is currently only 1 listed but if there are episodes missing on that title, you are welcome to add them through the '+Add episode' button and once live you add the credit(s) respectively to the episodes.
