Inserting in IMDB pages about people unrelated to the cinema industry

Karisse Grenier is a realtor. Her only connexion to cinema is having a son who is an actor. Yet, she has a page here, with a lengthy and absurd description of her activities as a REALTOR. If IMDB begins allowing such ridiculous pages there will no end to them, and soon enough the page will become useless as a cinema guide.

Hi @claudg1950 -

The IMDb page listing for "Karisse Grenier" is eligible to be listed based on her credit listing for the documentary "Shot in the Dark".  If there are any violating or incorrect Bio/Trivia information listed on the page (or observed on any other name page listing on the site), you are welcome to submit the applicable data corrections or deletions and our staff will review and take the appropriate actions.

Thank you very much for your kind reply. In the "Shot in the dark" film she appears as herself, same as all the other people in that film (it is a documentary; but each person appearing in a documentary is entitled to a page in IMDB?. Perhaps IMDB should establish more stringent criteria before granting space in the site to anybody for any trivial presence in a film). Never mind. HOWEVER, my point is that once getting into her page in the site we read that her bio (shamelessly written by her) is NOT about that film AT ALL. It is 100% spam of her work and self encomia as a realtor. I insist that IMDB is neither a site for real estate brokers nor a commercial advertising page. This woman has a nerve. In my view, the unrelated content here should be removed and replaced with something about that film. Thank you again.

@claudg1950 You state that "my point is that once getting into her page in the site we read that her bio (shamelessly written by her) is NOT about that film AT ALL."

Why should a page for Karesse Grenier be about the film Shot in the Dark? The page for Shot in the Dark is already about Shot in the Dark. The page for Karesse Grenier is about Karesse Grenier.

By the way, I agree in thinking that she wrote her mini-bio herself, but that is not forbidden (and we don't know for sure!). The mini-bio does seem to be (a tad bit) subjective, which isn't allowed (see https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/names-biographical-data/biographical-data-guidelines/GMT9T242VQADZUQM#biotitle), so you can submit a correction/deletion request if you feel the mini-bio (or parts of it) go against the guide.
