Keywords and Self credits

I noticed that the explanation of "reenactment" and "non-fiction" has been removed from the keyword guide: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/keywords/GXQ22G5Y72TH8MJ5?ref_=helpms_helpart_inline#special Under "tv-special" it says, "Also acts like the non-fiction keyword," but there is no explanation of how the non-fiction keyword acts. Meanwhile it still appears that the non-fiction keyword has the same effect of placing a title's cast credits under Self. A separate help page which explained Self credits has also been removed: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/why-do-some-acting-credits-show-up-in-a-separate-list-under-a-category-called-self-even-if-those-people-didn-t-actually-appear-as-themselves/G5H28P735WRDPSKN?ref_=helpart_nav_53 It seems to me that there is still a need for information about these keywords. And the question, "Why do some acting credits show up in a separate list under a category called 'Self' even if those people didn't actually appear as themselves?", is still relevant, and the answer is still in some cases about a genre or keyword.

Hi Peter_pbn, Thank you for raising this. I will ensure this is addressed in the Help guides appropriately. As for the second page you've referenced, this has been added to the new Filmography FAQs guide, which compiles filmography credits guidance. See link below: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/filmography-faqs/GXXHC234LLGMKTEE#self Cheers!

Hi Peter_pbn, In regards to your comment above: "Meanwhile it still appears that the non-fiction keyword has the same effect of placing a title's cast credits under Self." - this is no longer the case, and we apologize for not making this known at the time of this update's announcement. The "non-fiction" keyword now does not affect the display of a title's credits, and is therefore no longer a "special" keyword. I will make sure the relevant Help guides are updated accordingly. I hope this helps!

In #251002-223621-543000 (after the contribution form update and announcement) I removed "non-fiction" from "Da Ali G Show". Before the keyword was removed, Sacha Baron Cohen's credit was in Self and the character name was displayed as "Self - Ali G" etc. After the keyword was removed, the credit is now under Cast and displayed without "Self -". In #251003-060233-872000 I added "non-fiction" to "UEFA Women's Euro 2025". This had the effect of moving all the player and coach credits from Cast to Self and displaying them with "Self -" in the character name.
