What does that have to do with merging a blank person?

As Peter_pbn explained above, the page is not blank for those who have a Pro subscription. The description suggests that the page was created and claimed by a Pro subscriber. The staff who review incoming merge requests will see that and know that the page is not blank.

By "the page owner herself", Maya is referring to Lauren Patterson (VIII). The owner of the whole IMDb website is Amazon.com, Inc., but that's not what Maya is referring to. I'm not an admirer of G.K. Chesterton, but his parable of the fence applies here: In the matter of reforming things, as distinct from deforming them, there is one plain and simple principle; a principle which will probably be called a paradox. There exists in such a case a certain institution or law; let us say, for the sake of simplicity, a fence or gate erected across a road.
