list of anthology cartoons that dont seem in the database

There is a list of anthology cartoons that could be in the database

The Merrie Melodies Show (1972)

Bugs Bunny and Friends (2021-present) (MeTV)

The Tom and Jerry Show (1966-1972)

The Tom and Jerry Show (2021-present) (MeTV)

Popeye and Pals (2021-present) (MeTV)

Looney Tunes (1992-2023) (Cartoon Network)

the last one above I don't know if it is in the requirements of the imdb database rules, it would be a great idea if imdb added a category of film series shorts that were shown in a tv series program as if it were an episode so as not to create fake series

Hi @Arthurcoutinho600 -

Anthology films would not be eligible to have a title page since they are made of titles already listed.

Cheers!

Is good That imdb implementate a something like list of shorts That have aired on a Program like Looney Tunes from Cartoon Network or Tom and Jerry on Boomerang for example

@Bethanny, I thought you learned you were wrong about this when the founder and CEO of IMDb intervened to undo your actions in the "It's Such a Beautiful Day" incident that caused a massive loss of data which IMDb has still yet to recover. Anthology films are not categorically ineligible, this is decided on a case-by-case basis. If the format or presentation has been changed enough during the re-editing process, it doesn't matter that the title isn't made up of original footage. If original footage was a requirement for eligibility, we would have to delete a whole lot of documentaries, avant-garde films, and yes, many, many anthology films and series from the database, which would not do a bit of good for anyone and would be a very bad idea.

As for the titles that @Arthurcoutinho600 has mentioned, I haven't done enough research to know if they really qualify, but I do know that similar titles have been allowed in the past. Anthologies are an important part of film and TV history, and they have a place on IMDb. It's worth looking into.

As to the three MeTV shows mentioned in the original post ("Bugs Bunny and Friends", "The Tom and Jerry Show", and "Popeye and Pals"), I don't see much point in including them in the database. The shows don't have any original content, nor do they even have credits of their own.

By contrast, MeTV has another show, "Toon in with Me" (2021), which also features Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, and Popeye cartoons among others. "Toon in with Me" is included in IMDb and it makes sense for it to be included, because each episode includes original hosted segments and does have credits of its own.
