Listed as SELF not ACTOR

Hi, Some time ago I did an acting job as a publican (pub owner) for a BAFTA winning director. It was a documentary but I had the 1 role in the whole thing that was acting (explaining what an NFT is) and I was erroneously credited as SELF. Well the name is correct but it was not SELF as I am not a pub owner, I don't even drink! I managed to get it changed to a role but it's still missing from my profile under ACTOR. It's still in the auto-hidden SELF part. Given the bafta winning director I really want that role on my profile to be visible. It's also airing on Netflix. I've tried everything but just ran out of things to try. Can a mod fix it please? Here's a link to my profile. TIA. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm8525612/

If the documentary has scenes of reenactment and that's what you are doing, you can add the keyword 'reenactment' to the title and everyone not listed as self, should then have their credit appear in the actor section of their page instead.

That's the odd thing I'm already listed as actor. It's not a reenactment it's just an explainer. It's appearing on the shows page as actor and my page as actor but listed under self.

I was just looking back at some stuff I submitted to a series over last few years and without the use of any keywords, the system was able to separate the self roles from actor roles on their pages, I don't know if movie entries operate differently to series' or if you made this change recently and the system hasn't yet updated to move the credit to the actor section, but I hope a staff member can help better than I, but at least my knowledge shows it is possible to get the result you want, it's just the how.

It looks as if https://www.imdb.com/title/tt31898694/reference/?ref_=nm_flmg_job_1_cdt_t_1 is the title. It may not be a reenactment but that is the keyword you need to add to move your credit from self to actor.

With Champion Gromit and staff member Maya liking mine and Owen's replies, I'd say that is the way to go so I submitted the keyword and it updated your credit on your page to how you wanted.

The keyword has to be added to the title rather than the individual credit. It cancels the assumption that credits on a documentary are self credits so those that are need to have a character that starts “Self”.

See the message from VonPunk above. The keyword has been added and the credit is now under actor on your page.

Stanley, do you know if any of the other participants featured were also actors? I just watched the doc, and admittedly I’m not familiar with the subject or any of the interviewees, but I copied the names and credits to add to this database. It would be helpful to know if the other participants should be listed as “self” or as actors, especially the ones credited as “Currency Owner.”

No I was the sole actor in it, the rest were contributors aka real people being themselves.
