mass edits on actor's credits

Hello,

I am a contributor for an actor's page for a few months now. I only perform additions to actor's credits.

Recently, I noticed that recently my contributions are approved but then only to be edited / removed by someone else within the same day.

It seems the actor's page is being targeted specifically as it is only his credits affected as well as the timing of the changes. On other titles, other cast members do not have their actor credits having the same mass change. It is only his credits being forcefully recategorized.

Recent examples approved for actor page, but kept being removed or changed to a different category within the same day

Etc.

Is there an on going activity on IMDB to move categories on actor's credits? I feel the mass edits on the actor's page are malicious since this specific actor's page is being targeted. Can you please help look into this?

Thank you for posting the references! Further reviewing, your credit additions are being added to the incorrect category. This is why they are being changed to the correct credit category which is for Voice Actor-Dubbing.

For further detailed information, I encourage you to review our following Help Guide under Voice Actor- Dubbing so that these credits are submitted to the correct credit category.

Is this something initiated by IMDB itself? The mass changes to the actor's page is happening just recently - only for this actor, and not to rest of the cast.

The references below were submitted over time under category Actor , but is now suddenly removed and re-categorized only yesterday. Rest of the American cast on that IMDB title page are still listed under Actor, and only the ones I submitted were affected. As of current, there are only 2 persons listed under Voice Actor -Dubbing for that title.

I have no qualms if IMDB is the one doing these updates; however, I couldn't help but feel that there is a malicious actor behind it as the updates are targeting only this one actor that I have contributed to.

We had a changed introduced in November of last year for Voice Actor - Dubbing and I encourage you to check the following announcement: I ntroducing: New Credit Categories and Professions.

The "Voice Actor - Dubbing" credit category is for voice performances ("dubs") that are translated versions of a title’s originally recorded dialog. We currently accept dubs into the following languages: English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

As mentioned above, since these credits were in the incorrect category, they were moved respectively. If there are credits that are still in the incorrect category, these can be corrected/moved through the contribution form.
