Massive Down Ratings Added to a Title in 1 Day

It's really a joke how a group is taking money to manipulate data on your site and they keep doing it no matter how many times we let you know this is actually happening. I hope we get this matte resolved completely this time.

Hi Maya, Thank you for explaining again the same information we read before and we are aware of. How would you detect when an abnormal activity happens in all ratings in a title this fast? How would you know what was fake or not when it's the same group adding those ratings to increase and decrease the ratings at the same time to trigger your algorithm? You don't need to give an answer, but we know already what they're doing and for what purpose and we explained it to you. If the system worked, then all those ratings added maliciously from that group that never actually watched the title we discussed 3 months ago, and caused it to have much lower ratings (6.2 when the original rating was much higher in the 7+) than it should have, then the safeguards you implemented are not as good as you think they are. They did this again with this title also, making sure it has a much lower ratings than what people actually rated it as. That's what we are trying to tell you. The issue is not the lower rating score itself, the issue is the way the score is lowered by manipulating the ratings and not reflecting genuine people who watched and rated it higher or lower. Hi Maya, In the last 24 hours, as expected and explained that this would happen in the messages above, the total rating jumped from 6.2 to 7 after it went down from 6.6 to 6.2 ratings in the day before. They added around 800 ratings mostly in the 7, 8, 9 and 10 star ratings and also to 1, 2, and 3 star ratings. Don't you think they are actually challenging you by making how IMDb, your own website, work according to what they want to happen by manipulating it so easily and so fast? Here's the breakdown for the countries they used in order to add the ratings and they changed them just like we mentioned already before with this title now. They did this in January until March and continued after and no correction was taken. Turkey: 71 ratings in 1 star rating, 34 ratings in 2 star rating, 22 ratings in 3 star rating. United States: 2 ratings in 1 star rating, 1 rating in 2 star rating, 45 ratings in 8 star rating, 73 ratings in 9 star rating, 108 ratings in 10 star rating. Germany: 3 ratings in 1 star rating, 18 ratings in 8 star rating, 40+ ratings in 9 star rating, 60+ ratings in 10 star rating. Spain: 60+ ratings in 8 star rating, 10+ ratings in 9 star rating, 20+ ratings in 10 star rating. They added ratings also to the first episode of the title, about 45+ ratings also. There you go, now they will either keep adding more to lower or increase the rating or stop then resume again later. The point is, they will not stop as long as it is allowed to change the data however they want with the same algorithm for ratings. I don't want to keep commenting on this post everyday, but I wanted to explain the pattern and that this happened before.

Hi Maya, We got no solution for the title and we have been waiting for more than a week. It went down now to 4.9!!! We told you already, they know your system and how it works and they're manipulating it! After so much manipulation to go up to 7.2 in less than 48 hours stuffing the ratings themselves, then they took it down to 6.1 in 4 days and now 4.9!!! When we said your system doesn't detect any ratings manipulation, this is what we meant!!! This is not normal! They shot it up and down so fast with around 2500 fake ratings high and low. We said, they will lower it to 4 or 5 as they know what you take into account when you calculate the weighted mean, and look at what happened! We've never seen a site being manipulated so easily like your site. What is the solution now? Should it reach 1 so you understand they're manipulating your system? We're tired of this and we need a solution now!

They have been sabotaging the artist's profile for months and your team knows this! How many times your team had to fix their data deletion, manipulation and change????? How many times did we communicate to get things fixed????? We need a solution, we are following the rules and guidance your website is telling us to follow and adding data and ratings and reviews authentically, but that is not taken into consideration at all as your algorithm is being manipulated by that group however they're paid to do and the data is changed whenever they feel like it unless we inform you and get it fixed, it's ridiculous at this point what's happening!

Hi Maya, Now they are back to adding ratings down for the other title they sabotaged before and they decreased it. They are adding down ratings to it everyday between 50 to 80. Isn't that suspicious how fast ratings are added to titles that are not being watched that actively anymore? What is the solution here? It's been a month, and no action was taken not for the new title that is at 4.5 unfairly and not reflecting the audience's real ratings or the older one that is being targeted again! Just tell us you can't do anything to stop this so we don't keep asking every week about a progress. It's so bothersome that your team has not done anything about this until now.

Hi Maya, I wanted to update you that we see that the rating score that the title had originally more than a month ago was restored (6.1). Thank you so much for taking care of this, we know we kept sending messages here, but we had to alert you and be persistent and follow up so a proper action can be taken to stop that group from sabotaging not only our title but other titles too. We are expecting them to add massive down ratings again and try and decrease the title rating score again, so we will keep you updated.

Hi Maya, The ratings are going down again and fast the same way it did before. Should we report how many they're adding per day? They added up (35 to 40) and down (25) ratings today at the same time from different countries. We were at 6.1 and now we're at 5.8. What is the solution here? Isn't there a way to stop this? We know you took action but why isn't the system detecting that there are ratings added daily, in close numbers (25 to 50 in either 10s or 9s and also in 1s and 2s) and understand that this is ratings manipulation and prevent the ratings from getting really high or really low fast? Please give us an answer and not just mark this as "solved" when it isn't yet. We know you're trying, but please find a solution that actually works and prevents this from happening to any title.

Hi Maya, Thank you for still working on this. Again, they decreased the ratings more and they are adding the same, around 20 to 50 down ratings a day in 1s and/or 2s, same country or different countries. This message is an update on what they're doing and that they'll never stop unfortunately.

Hi Maya, Just a quick update, they keep decreasing the ratings with gradual ratings additions daily, focused on 1 to 3, then sometimes adding high ratings all at once in 9s and 10s. It was 6.1 and now it is at 5.7, the goal is to decrease it to 4 and lower.

They destroy the ratings so easily, they started on September 6th, and now 20 days later, they decreased it by 3%!!! Even when your team tries to restore the ratings, they never go back to their original ratings before the sabotage despite the clear evidence and them using the same accounts, countries and methods and us alerting you early on and action being taken weeks later, why? Should we do what they do? Create accounts and add fake ratings to stop it or restore the original ratings? How is this fair or normal? Hi Maya, There is a HUGE problem!!! All the shows and everything the artist has dropped insanely in rating numbers all of a sudden!!! Not just one title, EVERYTHING!!! What is happening????? Deleting critic reviews and manipulating the artist's IMDb for more than a year and now this, is just insane!!! They kept adding low ratings, changed the countries and not used the same accounts so you won't detect them and kept dropping the ratings!! While the fans, critics, people who actually watched those shows, the REAL people who rated it, got their ratings discarded and taken out! We got it, you will allow the same team to manipulate the ratings and use those accounts and new ones to target the artist and others however they want and reward them by giving them EXACTLY what they wanted, for the artist's entire work to be rated down and changed. It's insane how EVERYTHING went down in 1 day, while they kept attacking the ratings for months and no action was taken until weeks later or not at all. This is why we stopped updating, we have not gotten any update or info regarding what's happening, and now we see they got more than what they wanted and you allowed them to achieve their goal.

Hi Maya, We see that there was a glitch in the website, does that mean the ratings that all went down was due to that error or glitch? We need an answer and to understand what is going on. We provided updates for months and action is either taken very slowly or not at all. We are tired of saying how and when and what links they add down ratings to and report the manipulation and sabotage again and again and again, even in external review titles, they add inappropriate title with attack on the artist as a title name and not follow the official format and that gets approved without check and we have to fix it or re-add the external reviews again and again whenever they delete them.
