Mini bio and photo doesn’t show up in Cecília Penteado’s page

That’s the question here: there is a Portuguese version displayed on the profile page, and another version was accepted and even corrected in English, but not displayed. Not sure why it would be accepted (again, in English) and then only display the place and date of birth. By the rules, as I understood them, the mini bios can only be accepted with proven date and place of birth - which was done, so again confused why not displaying the full text.

Regarding profiles, the photo and text on your user profile have no connection with what appears on your IMDb name page.

Thanks for the reply, it cleared some of my questions, but I’m still confused why the handwritten English bio was reviewed and accepted by the IMDb team, and then only the place and date of birth are shown. Is it a system default? Shouldn’t the team reviewed items be the ones that override the system? Thank you for your patience :)

The bio you submit is applied to the English version while the Portuguese version shows an auto-generated Portuguese bio. You can see the same on other names. An auto-generated bio can include other available information than birth date.

That is the way IMDb have programmed it. Perhaps it could be done differently.

IMDb could probably also explain the situation better.

That’s why I find it odd. Sent the Portuguese version, it’s complete on my profile page. Sent the English version after confirming my birthday, as requested, carefully translated and with the exact same data as the Portuguese one, the only information shown is the birth date and place. Do you recommend any link that might be helpful to reach IMDb team for further assistance? Thank you so much for your time!

@cecilia_penteado1950_gmail_com- Thank you! I can see that the mini-bio is already live. Please note that mini-bios that are user submitted can only be in English which is why these appear if you have set the language to English. 

For any other langugaes available, an auto-generated bio will be set on the page by default. 

For profile images and images on name pages, only the name page owners or a verified representative can submit photos. For this an active IMDbPro membership is required and the page has to be claim to display photos.

Hi!! I’m so glad this is already solved. Thanks for all your help and support! I had a free trial for IMDb Pro, claimed my page and uploaded profile photo that is no longer available. That, I understand, it has to be Pro for certain features, I don’t mind if there’s not a profile photo, already grateful to have my bio up, so my grandchildren can digitally save a little bit of my career. :)
