Name Wrong on entry.

Noel: I have a couple of questions to clear this up. 1. Are you Noel Sheaffer at https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0790372/ ? 2. For the film "Papa Zeus" ( https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2025629/ ), was your name misspelled in the on-screen credits? Or was it spelled correctly in the on-screen credits and only misspelled on IMDb? This will make a difference for how your correction is submitted. Once you clarify these points, a contributor here or the IMDb staff should be able to advise you on how to do the correction.

Noel: Thanks for answering. Here is how to solve the problem. Go to the page for the incorrect version of your name at https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4570942/ . Click "Edit page". On the next screen, on the Name Merge line, select "Add merge". Scroll down and click "Continue". On the next screen, there will be a blank line on which to enter your corrected name. Enter it as: Sheaffer, Noel If a list of choices comes up and one of them is the correct version of your name (listed as: Noel Sheaffer, Actor, Bikini Beach Race (1992)), select it. There will be a checkbox labeled "Preserve previous name on existing credits. i.e. '(as Noel Shaeffer)'". Make sure that box is checked. It applies to your situation because your name was misspelled as "Noel Shaeffer" in the on-screen credits of "Papa Zeus". There will also be an Explanation box. In that box, enter something like this: "I am Noel Sheaffer. I was an actor in the movie Papa Zeus (2011) but my name was misspelled in the on-screen credits as Noel Shaeffer. Both the name pages for Noel Sheaffer and Noel Shaeffer pertain to me. I am requesting to merge these two pages under the correct spelling of my name, Noel Sheaffer." Click "Check these updates". On the next screen, you will get a warning that begins, "This merge has warnings, you must acknowledge each one before this merge will be accepted. You are about to merge two separate name pages into one. Are you sure you wish to merge this name page into the page for Sheaffer, Noel? ..." That's what you want, so check the box marked "Warning understood, go ahead anyway." Click "Re-check these updates".
