In Progress

No Longer Possible to Post a Review!

Something is very wrong with your website!  When drafting a review recently, I noticed that the slightest finger contact outside the actual form results in it totally disappearing without a trace!  This never happened before!  It is virtually impossible to write a review without accidentally deleting it due to something now present in the software controlling the review posting feature.  Does anyone out there know what. Is going on here?  Is IMDB discouraging this feature for some reason?  Help!

@malvernp 😀

You write and save a review in Windows Notepad
then copy over to IMDb?

How many reviews have you written?

The "finger contact" in the original message suggests that this is on a phone or tablet.

On an iPad you can use Notes to write the review then copy it into the pop-out form. I would suggest using split screen mode so that you can have both your review written using Notes and the submission form on screen at the same time - it makes it possible to write both the title and the body in notes and copy/paste them separately. The pop-up keyboard covered the Submit button when I tried it. You can scroll the pop-out form to bring it into view but do not try to scroll the whole page by touching outside the form - form closes and you have to start again. You can close the pop-up keyboard instead and that is probably a better option.

I do not submit many reviews and have not tried it on a phone or other kind of tablet.

@ACT_1 I write my reviews using the toggle at the readers’ reviews section for a particular film.  It brings up the form IMDB provides for readers to write and send in a review for consideration.  Windows is not involved in the process.  I have written about 325 reviews that IMDB accepted for publication over a 20+ year period.  The problem I previously described relates to writing reviews on my IPad.  The process up to quite recently worked uneventfully for years. The IMDB form now comes up on top of a dark background——which I believe may be a new development.
