no way to delete a duplicate actor entry

In Melody for Three, the actor-name Donnie Allen is entered twice, once Donnie Allen (III) (the right one), and another Donnie Allen (I), a more recent technical person with credits (electrician, &c.) some seventy (70) years after Melody for Three. The birth/death dates for Donnie Allen (III) - 1928-1987 - match the age of the character 'Red' Bates (an early teen boy) in Melody for Three. On the other hand, Donnie Allen (I) has only one acting credit - this one (which is incorrect). This error can't be corrected by editing the page - it asks for 'evidence', as if it's a proposed new entry. Can someone fix this?
