Nonsense number of images for a movie

Is there a limit to the pics that can be added to a movie? I think that there should be one. Its easy to find movies like "Mad Max: Fury Road" with numbers as huge as 3300 images... It is a nonsense. At 24 fps that would be more than 2 hours... probably longer than the film itself, Also, there are tons of pictures similar to others... Shouldnt they be deleted?

There will be duplicates. There are also posters, DVD/Blu-Ray covers from different regions, other promotional material, pictures of cast and production crew at various events, and so on.

@NYVKE: Exact duplicates can be deleted via the regular submission form, so there shouldn't be too many of those around. (although there are unfortunately sometimes specific cases where IMDb doesn't delete them. Example: https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/data-issues-policy-discussions/more-unique-duplicated-pictures-im-afraid-jamies-meatfree-meals/689511420b407f56d0cff7f6)

Killers of the Flower Moon has 400 behind the scenes images. I remember seeing an animated short that had over a 1,000 still frames. Also Mare of Easttown has 7 episodes but 1,360 still frames. Most of them are repetitive, too dark and have letterbox bars on them.

@AlbertoMazarro: There is no limit to the number of pictures that can be added to a title. That begin said, there is (quite) a list of things that aren't allowed when it comes to images, as you can see in the image guide: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/images-videos/image-guidelines/G27LPBQZA7EAZGJW?ref_=helpms_helpart_inline#

@Marco, then, not all people respect the guide... In the case I saw yesterday (Mad Max FR) there are hundreds that should be deleted

Delete them then. You could be the Bradley Kent of images.

If every one in this forum delete just one, there still would be thousands

@AlbertoMazarro: You're right, a lot of duplicated or otherwise problematic pictures make it online unfortunately. However, I think it's not necessarily because people don't respect the guide, I think there are some contributors that simply don't know about the guide and didn't (bother to) check.
