Solved

Please clearly state which guidelines have not been met

My contribution, dated March 1, 2026 (#260301-134157-247000), after being pending for more than three days, has finally been rejected with the sole explanation: "Does not meet contribution guidelines."

Since, excluding these, I have perhaps more than 30 Plot Outline Additions that have been approved without issue, would you be so kind as to clarify which guidelines have not been met?

I believe this is something that those of us who try to contribute are owed, out of basic courtesy, especially after waiting for a period of time that, having complained, seems completely unjustified.

If the problem is that I am creating too much work for your staff with the Plot Outline Additions I contribute, please state this clearly, and I will refrain from contributing further.

Hi Pmoran-

Thank you for the reference! After reviewing, it needs a bit more description of the storyline since yours is more of a situation rather than a plot outline.

You could try editing it with this formula in mind of what to include: Character + Goal + Obstacle + Stakes + Outcome/direction and you are welcome to re-submit for our staff to take another look.
Cheers!

Ok, done; but I must state that I believe there is an excessive degree of arbitrariness among some reviewers (I suspect it is always the same one) and the proof is that if that were the case, there would have been no need to wait more than three days to reject it.

I agree. I had a trivia correction/addition arbitrarily rejected even though all I did was add the name of the movie the original trivia-submitter referred to.  It was relevant, valid information, yet I got the ridiculous: "Does not meet contribution guidelines"

It is not the first time I have expressed this. I believe that 'Does not meet contribution guidelines' should be unacceptable.

It is like being sanctioned, claiming that you have violated the penal code, without specifying any article breached and simply referring you to the penal code as the only explanation. They should clearly explain the reason for the rejection.
