Poor film outline and summary

Hi.

In short, my valid contributions for this small film that I love have been declined. I just re-submitted, and I’d appreciate it if a moderator could please accept my contributions.

A longer version:

I’m an highly active contributor on TMDB, and am a valued member of the community.

I’m new to IMDB. So far, I’ve tried to make contributions for two films and BOTH TIMES my valid edits have been declined for no reason.

After I post a complaint in the forum, my changes are then accepted.

Why must I go through this extra step?

Why are they not getting accepted the first time?

It almost feels personal at this point.

“Reason: Does not meet contribution guidelines.”

How??

My contributions are grammatically correct, accurate, and contain no foul language. How the heck am I “not meeting contribution guidelines”?

If I’m doing something wrong, I’d like an explanation, so that I can make changes moving forward.

The lack of explanation is frustrating, and not at all helpful to a contributor.

If you look at the current outline and summary for this small film, you’ll instantly see that they are grammatically incorrect, and that they were likely written by someone that isn’t a native English speaker. They look like they were put through a translator. I feel bad saying this, but it’s almost laughable how bad they are, yet the moderator would rather keep grammatically incorrect entries and decline my valid, grammatically-CORRECT edits? Why? It makes IMDb look amateurish. IMDb deserves high quality contributions.

I’d really like to know why this has happened to me 2 times out of 2 now.

It ends up becoming a hassle and a waste of my time.

I know there’s a high volume of contributions to process, but moderators should be thorough, even if it means taking a quick moment to Google the film or check its Wiki, etc. to verify that my contributions are legit.

Sorry for my frustration, but this runaround makes me not want to contribute on IMDb, which is a shame because I’m trying to be helpful.
